about
I am a huuuge fan of Jack Lee’s songwriting. I absolutely love this song, and I love covers. I always thought I could do his original version justice, so here we go. “Come Back and Stay” is everything I love: killer classic songwriting with a strong hook and chorus, combined with the lyrics’ twisted take on love and longing. Can't wait to play it live!
Besides me on vocals, it features Calle Hammar on guitar, Dolf de Borst on bass, and Hugo Mårtensson on drums. It was recorded, mixed and mastered by Stefan Brändström at The Dustward during fall of 2023.
Hope you'll like it!

lyrics
Since you’ve been gone
I shut my eyes and I fantasize
That you’re here with me
Will you ever return?
I won’t be satisfied ‘til you’re by my side
Don’t wait any longer
Why don’t you come back?
Please hurry
Why don’t you come back?
Just come back and stay for good this time
Come back and stay for good this time
When you said goodbye
I was trying to hide what I felt inside
Until you passed me by
You said you’d return
And said that you’d be mine until the end of time
Don’t wait any longer
Just come back and stay for good this time
Come back and stay for good this time
Since you’ve been gone
I’ve opened my eyes and realized
What we had together
Will you ever return?
Or have you changed your mind, if you wanna stay mine
Don’t wait any longer
Why don’t you come back?
Please hurry
Why don’t you come back?
Why don’t you come back?
Please hurry
Why don’t you come back?
Just come back and stay for good this time
Come back and stay for good this time
Just come back and stay for good this time
Come back and stay for good this time
